Barbara Graf, MA, LPCC, NCC

Barbara offers an individualized client treatment using additional evidence-based practices, including Behavioral Modification, Trauma Systems Therapy (TST), Solution-Focused Therapy, Existential Psychotherapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Managing and Adapting Practices (MAP). She implements current scientific research in her practice with clients experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, trauma, grief, attachment disorders, PTSD, sleep disturbance, phobias, adjustment disorders, compulsive behaviors, selective mutism, relationship problems, and identity issues.

Barbara has provided therapy to children in Fayette County Public Schools, traumatized youth in a psychiatric residential treatment facility, adult survivors of domestic violence, and to individuals and families for a non-profit behavioral health organization. She has leadership experience in training and supervising other therapists in evidence-based treatments.

Barbara's therapeutic style is best described as compassionate, caring, approachable, and client-centered. She embraces a holistic approach to helping clients heal through the healthy interactions of the mind and body. Besides her ability to evaluate, diagnose and treat, her main goal is to "help clients to be free of pain and have a better relationship with self, others, and the world."

Prior to her career as a therapist, she worked professionally in law, business and administration. She also speaks Portuguese fluently.
