Health Anxiety Uncovered
Led by licensed professionals, this support group offers a guided, compassionate space for people who are navigating health anxiety, food-related stress, and overwhelming feelings that often come with a hyper-aware mind and body.
This group is designed to help you feel less alone offering you tools, education, and connection with others that understand. This is all grounded in evidence-based approaches like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mind-body awareness strategies.
While this is not a therapy group, it is led by licensed professionals in a facilitated space that offers a blend of psychoeducation, peer connection, and structured guidance. Our goal is to help participants build insight, challenge unhelpful thought patterns, and move toward self-trust.
What We Cover
Each session focuses on real experiences and topics that affect those with health anxiety and body-related stress, including:
- Understanding the cycle of health anxiety and how it develops
- How perfectionism, trauma, and family dynamics can shape your health fears
- The overlap between health anxiety, body image, and disordered eating
- Tools to manage reassurance-seeking, symptom-checking, and food-related panic
- How social media, diet culture, and over-information feed anxiety
- Ways to interpret body sensations without spiraling
This group is ideal for people who are seeking a space to feel understood while learning ways to feel more in control of their mind and body. Whether you’re tired of late-night symptom Googling or looking for a way to untangle the anxiety around food and wellness, you are welcome here.
Led by Emmy Greene, LPCA, and Megan Farrar, LPCA, this group is built on the expertise and heartfelt commitment of professionals who bring both experience and a genuine personal investment in every client’s journey
