This is required before you can start individual therapy as it helps you to understand and it explains why you are having certain thoughts, feelings and acting in a particular way.

Individual therapy involves the therapist and client working together collaboratively on your treatment plan and therapeutic goals. The therapist assesses your symptoms and provides you with treatment options. Our clinicians are prepared to help you solve problems, develop insight into your life situations, learn how to better cope and respond to difficult situations, improve communications with others, and learn new skills to promote healthy thinking and emotional wellness.
Online therapy has been proven as efficient as regular face-to-face sessions. We use online therapy to complement our in-office sessions. It is also an alternative way to help clients who are unable to attend in-office sessions. Our online therapy sessions use secure HIPAA compliant technology provided through the Cognitive Therapy Mindfulness Center patient portal. Online individual therapy sessions are available only after the Initial Evaluation and risk assessment. Please note that online counseling is not to be used for crises or emergencies.

Meditation is simply a practice that involves training the mind to slow down and nonjudgmentally observe thoughts. It has been practiced for thousands of years and is an evidenced-based technique that, when implemented regularly, has the ability to achieve both mental and physical changes within the body. These changes include but are not limited to mental clarity, relaxation, heightened awareness, lowered blood pressure, and improved heart rate.
One-on-one meditation allows Morgan to get to know her students, their unique experiences, and cater the meditation toward their specific needs. We will periodically discuss what benefits they are experiencing and ways to create more space for these benefits to flow into different parts of their life.
DBT was developed in the late 1980s by psychologist Marsha M. Linehan and is a highly effective and specific type of cognitive-behavioral psychotherapy that encompasses CBT principles while emphasizing validation and acceptance.
